Possibly the most infamous of all social justice advertisements, this ad features Kendall Jenner ending a protest, seemingly solving police brutality, all by handing a police officer a Pepsi. To many, this was seen to an insult to the movement against police brutality, black lives matter, and protesting in general. Here are a few reactions from Twitter users:
Being met with such harsh backlash, Pepsi pulled this advertisement only one day after its airing.

This advertisement clearly sought out to exploit social justice to promote Pepsi and Kendall Jenner. It did nothing that a true support ad should do. The advertisement trivialized a movement. The thought of ending a riot by giving a police officer a Pepsi is flawed in itself. That brings me to the second problem: the fact that they tried to profit off of this movement. They glorified Pepsi as well as Kendall Jenner by making them the saviors of the advertisement.
